Plant Identification Walk with Frédérick Barbe and Fred des jardins de Charlemagne at the former Charlton Public School, future home of the Proposed “Charlton Sustainability Hub”
Google Map to Charlton School Site
We will scout the limits of the 6-acre school property and explore the nearby forests and water systems with an eye toward what native species are growing, and how best to establish a permaculture-style food forest, regenerative pasturing system, and other sustainable activities.
Our exploration will finish with a visit inside the school itself, where we can discuss the challenge and opportunity of developing sustainability in the North.
Come out and meet others who are looking to build a quality low carbon lifestyle and find out how you can become part of the movement to a renewable energy future.
A $10 fee will be charged to offset food costs and speakers’ expenses.
