Who we are
CATAC emerged as a result of projects taken on by the Municipality of Temiskaming Shores over the past several years; the City is supporting us as we continue their cultural development work that resulted in the adoption of the City’s Municipal Cultural Plan in 2014, and a project of 2016 to develop a regional cultural sustainability plan for South Temiskaming.
The pandemic resulted in CATAC taking a pause, but we hope to be back soon, actively engaged as a formal not-for-profit, incorporated regional umbrella organisation, providing the much-needed role of bringing together our cultural organisations and artists to share resources, collaborate and advocate for the arts in the region of South Temiskaming.
CATAC currently has a volunteer Board of Directors of 5 dedicated individuals, with a volunteer Executive Director. We have recently become officially incorporated as a not-for-profit organisation. Our founding member organisations from across our region are representative of the diversity of the arts, culture and heritage resources in our communities.
